Have you ever met someone who always seems to attract good luck and positive opportunities? It can feel like they were born under a lucky star, effortlessly sailing through life with amazing things constantly happening to them. This phenomenon is often referred to as the “Lucky Girl Syndrome.”
But you too can tap into this mindset and invite more luck into your life. In this post, let’s explore what the Lucky Girl Syndrome is, how it can benefit you, and practical steps to develop your own luck and embrace a more fortunate mindset.

What is the lucky girl syndrome
The Lucky Girl Syndrome is not about luck in the traditional sense, but rather a mindset that attracts positive outcomes and opportunities. It’s about embracing a positive and optimistic outlook, which in turn helps create a fertile ground for luck to flourish.
It’s important to understand here that it’s not about magically receiving everything you want without effort. Rather, it’s about shifting your mindset and taking action to align yourself with favorable circumstances (like the law of assumption).
How to shift your mindset?
Choose to see the glass as half full rather than half empty. Adopting a positive mindset allows you to approach challenges with resilience and optimism, which in turn attracts better outcomes.
Imagine yourself achieving your goals and living your dreams. Visualization helps align your thoughts and actions with your desired outcomes, creating a positive ripple effect in your life.
Trust in yourself and your abilities. Believe that you are deserving of good things and capable of achieving greatness. Self-belief empowers you to take risks, pursue opportunities, and attract positive results.
Start by appreciating what you already have in your life. Gratitude opens the door to more blessings and allows you to recognize and embrace the fortunate moments that come your way.
Be open to new experiences and opportunities. Actively seek out possibilities that align with your passions and goals. Remember, luck often favors those who are prepared and willing to take a leap of faith.
Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
Growth happens outside of our comfort zones. Challenge yourself to embrace new challenges and expand your horizons. Stepping out of your comfort zone opens doors to new possibilities and increases your chances of encountering fortunate circumstances.
Build Positive Relationships
Surround yourself with supportive and uplifting people who inspire you to be your best self. Positive relationships provide a network of support, encouragement, and opportunities that can enhance your luck.

From one friend to another
If this is new and weird for you, you may think this sounds delusional. That’s okay, it is delusional… but it works if you believe. So why not try it?
I’m a lucky girl. Amazing things are always happening to me. Yes, life gets in the way and sometimes I become doubtful, but when this happens, I pull out my Florence Scovel Shinn books, or I listen to her books on YouTube. She always manages to change my frequency and bring my mind back to positivity. I love her, but if she doesn’t work for you, I encourage you to find your own muse.
I have so many examples to share of how this lucky girl mindset/ law of assumption has influenced my life. Just recently, we needed to take a 3-week international trip. We had not saved, and my husband was freaking out. But this trip was important to me and I wanted to share this experience with our children, so I chose not to listen to him.
To the outside, I seemed delusional because I was planning a big trip that we couldn’t afford, but I kept saying affirmations like “money flows to me in avalanches of abundance,” “everything I desire is within my reach,” “money flows to me from expected and expected sources,” “the universe is rigged in my favor,” “amazing things are always happening to me.” Whenever I’d get scared or worried, I’d put those worries aside and say my affirmations instead.
And guess what:
- unbeknownst to us, we had over $6k in credit card points, (thank you Capital One!);
- somehow we got over $2k in refunds;
- because we were traveling during the low season, hotels were way cheaper, and finally;
- the exchange rate drastically changed in our favor, so our expenses were half what we had expected.
